Gaining Wait: resisting the credit card christmas
December 9, 16, 23, 24
Everything is instant. Coffee. Communications. Soup. Even grocery stores have eliminated employee positions to make room for more instant, computerized check-out stands. Instant gratification is the name of the game in America. And Christmas brings out the worst in our quest for instant satisfaction. Over the next few weeks, millions of Americans will go over their budgets and deep into debt as they pursue happiness in an instant by purchasing the perfect gifts.
At Revolution, we're wondering if this is really the best way to celebrate the birth of a homeless child whose mission on Earth was to proclaim good news to the poor...to proclaim freedom for the captives and sight for the blind, and to set the oppressed free (Luke 4). Throughout the month of December, we'll be talking about how the way in which Jesus was born contradicts the instant gratification lifestyle that permeates our Christmas season. In fact, if anything, Christmas should be a season of hopeful waiting for Christ's missionto finally be fulfilled.
Please join us each Sunday in December, at 11:00, for our new worship series. Also, we'll celebrate Candlelight Gathering Christmas Eve at 7:00 on the 24th.
The Frightening Thing about Fear
October 14, 21, 28

Earth to God: Prayer and the Questions People Ask
November 11, 18, 25
Does prayer work, and if so, then how? Does prayer really change us? Or does it change God? Or both? If God knows everything already, then why pray at all? What am I supposed to be praying for? Join us for this series as we address these and other common questions about prayer.
Jesus' Women
September 9,16,23
For these three Sundays in September, we'll be looking at threespecific interactions that Jesus had with three different women in the Gospel of Luke. Despite his highly patriarchal context, Jesus had some extraordinary views about the place of women in the church, in society, and in creation. Throughout this series, we'll welcome guest speakers, musicians, and dancers to help lead us in worship. Come check it out.

Hero
June24 - July 15
This series will be an entertaining and enlightening glimpse into the lives of some of our favorite superheroes - from the movies & comics, and from the Bible and our own lives as well. We'll discuss our heroes - their strengths, their struggles, their weaknesses, and their courage - and we'll learn from their lives. Finally, we'll discover how each of us has the potential to make a heroic impact on the world around us.
Our Invisible Enemies
May 13 - June 17
Join us in worship as we address some of the most serious issues that we all face...issues that we rarely talk about in the public sphere. Over these six Sundays, we'll hear from four different speakers as we approach issues like addiction, depression, pornography, and domestic violence. These problems impact all of us- either directly or indirectly- and we at Revolution believe that the church should be talking about them. We hope to see you in worship for this series.
